Everything people ask us

  • The most reliable signal accessible without a paid tool is the follower/engagement ratio: an account with many followers but very few likes and comments relative to its size category's average very likely has a share of bought followers, bots, or inactive accounts. That's exactly what this calculator measures.

  • No, it's not an absolute guarantee, an account can score well and still have bought a few hundred followers on top of a genuinely engaged audience. But a low score is a reliable signal: it's statistically very hard to have excellent engagement with a majority of fake accounts, since bots and inactive accounts never interact.

  • A low score doesn't always mean bought followers: low-engaging content, unclear targeting during past growth, or an audience that simply lost interest can also lower this ratio. In that case, the fix is content and targeting strategy, not account 'cleanup'.

  • Refocus your growth on 100% organic, real targeting instead of adding more to the raw number. Manually cleaning thousands of followers is rarely practical; better to stop the bleeding and rebuild a healthy ratio with a qualified audience from now on.
